Because Autocom Rider Systems are so expandable, they are generally sold as individual kits and components.
The best place to start is to decide what your requirements are. The Super-Pro-Auto, Logic, and Logic Inpependant units offer varying features. (Check out the individual units specification pages). It will pay to note all the options and features of each unit, and plan for any additions you might want to make in the future.
Once you have decided on which of the Main Units suits you, the next step is to simply add the options you require.
For example, if you don't ride with a Passenger, and simply want Music* and Mobile Phone* connectivity, the Logic (Logic Kit: L-1) is all you would need. If you plan on expanding your system in the future to allow for Bike-to-Bike communication, then you might want to consider either the Logic or Super-Pro-Auto units. These two units both operate with Voice-Activation (VOX), and with certain Transceivers**, can allow complete hands-free operation.
The Autocom Logic models come in Single Rider Kits. That is, the Logic & Logic Independant Kits are designed to allow a single rider connectivity for Music*, Mobile Phone*, or Bike-to-Bike.
If you decide to ride with a pillion, you can simply add an additional Headset Kit (Part No. 2116).
The Logic unit comes out of the box ready to run on 3xAAA batteries. If you would prefer to power the unit from your bike's 12volt, then you will need the standard 12volt power lead (Part 2427).
Additionally... if powering the unit from your bike, it is best to add one or two (rider and pillion) of the Headset extension Leads (2134 - straight or 2138 - coiled). These make it easier to have the Autocom unit's headset leads just sticking out from the bike's seat, and then you can simply reach down and plug in using the extension leads.
There are a numbber of otther accessories available for the Autocom units... such as Bike-to-Bike interface leads, Bluetooth Adaptors for Mobile Phones and GPS systems, and other music sources.
For further information on different configurations, refer to the Site Map for "Bike Configurations".
* We do not obviously supply MP3 players. Those are available almost anywhere. You may also require a Mobile Phone Adaptor for your particular phone. Please refer to the Mobile Phone Connectivity pages.
** Transceivers... These are available at most communication outlets. Please check with the Bike-to-Bike Interface Lead listing to see which brands and models we have leads for. We do not have interface leads for certain "entry-level" transceivers such as DigiTalk or DigiTech.
